rose is taking her younger sister to see an animated film about magical singing creatures. her family lives outside the city, so she has to drive a long way to get to the theater. rose has brought some money to buy her sister some fresh, hot popcorn. when she picks up the popcorn, rose is burned by a splash of hot oil.
