With the introduction of various service providers and services, there needs to be binding laws that prevent large-scale monopolistic service providers like AT&T and Comcast from throttling competitors content. There are content providers like Hulu and Netflix which require the use of bandwidth from service providers, but these companies come in direct competition with companies like AT&T and Comcast, which are also developing their own content providers. In order to ensure that the internet remains a free market place, Congress should ratify an amendment to ensure that competition on the internet remains vibrant and active and harshly punish those companies which would manipulate access to competitors' content.
