1.Which line is written in slope intercept form with m = -3 and b = 5?
2.Write the following equation in slope intercept form: -2x + y = 9A.)Y = -2x + 9B.)Y = -2x –9C.)Y = 2x + 9D.)Y = 2x –9
3.) Put the following equation into slope intercept form: 5x –3y = -9.A.) y = −5/3x –3 B.) y = 5/3x+ 3C.) y = −3/5x –3D.) y = 3/5x + 3

Answer:

Attaching answer for 1 below!!

2. C. -- y=2x+9

3. B. -- y=5/3x+3

Step-by-step explanation:

1.  First screenshot below

2. To convert standard equations (Ax+By=C)  to slope intercept (y=mx+b), what you do is preform inverse operations on A to both sides (modeled below).  Then, the equation will look like this; By= -Ax+C.  The last thing you need to do to cancel out B from the y is divide both sides by B, and you'll have your answer.  So, I did that exact process with the equation and that's how I got C.  Now, when you have no number next to the y, you don't need to divide, so it's a very simple process that way.

-2x+y=9

3.  Same process for 2, except this time we divided by 3.
