A behaviorist such as John B. Watson and B. F. Skinner would disagree with the notion that psychology is the scientific study of mental processes. This is because behaviorism is a psychology school of thought wherein human behavior can be simply explained in terms of conditioning, without regard to thoughts or feelings.
