When given a list, be able to choose which one is a carbohydrate, a fat or a protein.

Understand the following equation and be able to explain it: 6H2O + 6CO2 + C6H1206
+ 602.

Be able to label the parts in a chemical reaction (ie reactants and products)

In chemical reactions, can atoms be destroyed?

can anyone help me with these real quick please.

Respuesta :

The H2O and CO2 are reactants while the C6H1206 and 602 are products.  Atoms are not destroyed in a chemical reaction. They are rather recombined.

There are two parts of a chemical reaction; the reactants and the products. The reactants are found on the left hand side of the equations while the products are found on the right hand side of the reaction equation.

For the reaction;  6H2O + 6CO2 -------->  C6H1206  + 602,  H2O and CO2 are reactants while the C6H1206 and 602 are products.

Now, in a chemical reaction, atoms can not be created nor destroyed. All that occurs is a recombination or rearrangement of atoms.
