1.) Just because you follow a certain diet doesn't mean it will work for you. Diets work differently for different people, so you may either lose, gain, or stay the same weight depending on how your body works. Also, certain amounts of carbohydrates are necessary for the body to function and are even healthy, so you shouldn't take them out of your meals completely.
2.) It is important to set a scheduled time to eat a healthy breakfast so that your body has the energy to keep moving. A few crackers doesn't count as breakfast because it's only providing you with grains, which is not a well-balanced meal.
