Answer:
From the least depth to the greatest depth, the following features are arranged-
(1) Continental Shelf
(2) Continental Slope
(3) Continental Rise
(4) Abyssal Plain
(5) Mid Oceanic Ridge
(6) Trench
Explanation:
Continental shelf- It is the top portion of the ocean floor, which ranges from the edge of the continent up to a depth of about 200 meters.
Continental slope- It is the second portion of the ocean layer that ranges from a depth of about 200 meters up to about 2000 meters.
Continental rise- It is present below the continental slope and here it slightly rises ranging in depth from about 2000 to 4000 meters below the mean sea level.
Abyssal plain- It lies below the Continental rise, extending from about 4000 to 6000 meters below the sea level.
Mid oceanic ridge- It forms the deeper portion of the ocean floor, extending from about 6000 to 8000 meters below the sea level.
Trench- It forms the deepest portion of the ocean body where sunlight cannot reach. It is dark and ranges its height from about 8000 meters and beyond that.
