No, 2001 is not a good year for US citizens. In that year, the Al-Qaeda attack on the US killed ruthlessly more than 3000 innocent people. The American Trade Centre, which was considered till then, the tallest building, was destroyed due to the plane attack.
Well, I don't personally think 2001 was a really good year. Yea, some good development took place, the start of a new century & all but the 9/11 attacks in the US by the Taliban sure destroyed the peace. So, New York was totally taken down ... I mean that was horrible.. those attacks on September 11, 2001. Everyone,not just in the US, internationally..everyone was shook. About 2977 people excluding the Taliban people died. And that's like .. massive. Kids, adults..all ages. So, yea..2001 wasn't prolly a good year.
