Nudibranchs are a detachment of marine gastropods, close to the snails, but without shell and with a pronounced mantle.
Their secondary cutaneous gills are soft, unprotected outgrowths of integuments of various shapes and are located on the sides or on the dorsal side of the body; some species have no gills at all. They inhabit mainly warm seas and oceans. Some species are poisonous and have a bright color. All nudibranchs are hermaphrodites. They are very picky about their food.
