Pip has a high-class living style, and when he meets Joe, a lower class person, his affluent behaviour and mockery of Joe's lower class behaviour is made evident. Additionally, Pip constantly mocks Joe's pronunciation of words through, "as it is drawd too architecttooral". But as time goes on, Pip comes to realise that although Joe has a lower class upbringing, he does in face have a dignity of his own, as he likens Joe's behaviour to 'heaven'.
