Ok the most important thing to understand here is how angles are named. It might seem overwhelming with all the letters but don’t worry, you’ll get it. An angle is labeled with three letters. An angle is formed by two lines coming together, you got that, right? So The middle letter is the bendy part of the angle. You always label an angle with the bendy point in the middle. The first and last letters refer to the lines that go out from there. Look at #1. Angle PCB means the angle that has the bendy point at C, and one line goes out toward point P and the other line goes out to point B. Does that make sense? Ok so they are giving you the measures of the two smaller angles. And you have to find BCD. If you look closely, you’ll see that the two angles together make up BCD. So all you have to do is add the measures of the two smaller angles together to get the big angle. Get it? So, 118+42=160 degrees. You’ll get the hang of it!!!
