3. Family troubles : if there are troubles at home - the parents are getting divorced or a parent is sick - the learner might begin to abuse substances to deal with sadness or pressure.
4. Use of addictive medications : certain medications can be quite addictive. For example, some pain relievers can be quite addictive. If a learner begins to take these medications, he can begin to take the medication more than it is recommended. This would lead to substance abuse
