First of all I noted that the origin would be the centre of rotation.

Then I chose a point of Trapezoid A: I selected the point closest to the centre of rotation which was (2,1) , since that is the easiest one to do. However, this works for any point

Then I drew a line from the point (2,1) to the centre of rotation (the origin)

From the origin I then drew another line perpendicular (at a right angle to) the line that I previously drew (between the origin and point (2,1)). I drew this line so that it was also the same length as the previously drawn line and I drew it in the direction of rotation which was clockwise i.e., to the right. This line therefore went from the origin to point (1,-2).

I have now deduced that the point (1,-2) is the same as point (2,1) but in the rotated Trapezoid B.

From there I simply just rotated shape A 90 degrees clockwise so that I knew what the shape would look like if it was rotated.
