There is a direct relationship between culture and myths, where myths are an integral part of the culture of a people, contributing to its formation and consolidation within the idiosyncrasy of said people and being a factor of union between the different individuals of it. Thus, myths, along with history, religion, language, etc., form the culture of a people and define it as such.

Thus, while "The Raven and the First Men" is a myth that refers to the origin of human life from the perspective of the Haida, a group native to what is now Canada; "The Moon" is, as its name implies, a story about the nature of said celestial body and its interaction with human beings.
