The West has large open areas untouched by people. The land includes large forests, deserts, and mountains. The variety causes wide differences in weather. Hiking and camping are popular. The environment is an important issue. Ranching, lumbering, and mining are important industries. Los Angeles, Seattle, and Denver are major cities.
(please dont say this sounds like a 7th grader, this is in the assigngment and i have to change it in my own words but i dont know how to.)
