This was a trade that was also called transatlantic trade which included the trading of goods and slaves so the lack of communication where by when they took people in a certain areas for slavery they might inform others to hide or equip themselves in order not to be taken but there was also lack of security .In some areas it was ignorance of the leaders who gave their people in exchange of petty goods. Exchange of gold in to cheap things this also show that they never knew the value of what they have.
