Then, the Communist ideals came to power, promising everyone a fairer government, and they took hold. During the Cold War, the Soviet Union defended their economic belief of communism.
US: The United States hated communism with a passion. They saw it as a threat to America's society, and that communism would spread across the world if they didn't do something about it. During the Cold War, the U.S. opposed the Soviet Union's belief of communism and defended their belief of capitalism.
