The Montgomery Bus Boycott was a protest. Rosa Parks got arrested for not giving up her seat to a white person. Then Martian Luther King Jr. got involved and fought for her. He took them to court and they won there case. And then they fixed the rights of African Americans. They made a law that said separate but equal. Which means the African Americans get the same thing as white Americans but it is separated.
