Which polynomial has a graph that passes through the given points?

(–3, 10), (–1, 0), (0, –5), (3, 52) A) y = x3 – 4x2 + 2x – 5 B) y = x3 + 4x2 – 2x – 5 C) y = x3 + 4x2 + 2x – 5 D) y = x4 + 4x3 – 2x2 – 5x

Respuesta :

You can answer this by just plugging in points.
D you can rule out immediately because you could see right away that if you were to plug in 0 to that equation, each term has an x variable and so it ends up being 0, not -5.
If you plug in the point (-1,0), you can also rule out A and C. At A, the point at x = -1 is (-1, -12), and at C, it's (-1, -4).
