Does anyone know this question please help!!

Read the following passage from The Cay in which Phillip and his father discuss the arrival of the German Submarines.

They came all the way from Germany?
He nodded or from bases in France, he said, loading his pipe.
Why can't we go out and fight them? I asked.
My farther laughed sadly and tapped his long finger on my chest. You like that, would you? But we have nothing to fight them son. We can't go out in motorboats and attack them with rifles.

What does this passage most likely reveal about Mr. Enright and Phillip?

Mr Enright and Phillip hope that war does not bring violence to the island.
Mr. Enright understands the dangers of war, while Phillip see glory in fighting.(This is what i pick)
Mr Enright and Phillip are both afraid for their safety without weapons for defense.
Phillip is annoyed that Mr.Enright refuses to confront the Germans in the harbor.
