2a. Quran contains the major laws and stated in general and then the sunnah explains in detail pertaining to the laws.

2b. I disagree as not having the Prophet around makes them need the  Qur’an more. The stories in it allow Muslims now to connect to God and the Prophet. We follow the ways of the Prophet and the whole point the Qur'an got brought into this world was because we needed to keep consistency and follow a valid set of rules as to why the Qur'an is still relevant

• Sunnah are recorded from far as 8th century by the various Islamic scholar because it was believed these Sunnah were the way of lifestyle practiced by the Prophet Muhammad.

In conclusion, the Quran is still as relevant as 1400 years ago because it is believed to contain word communicated directly from Allah to Proohet Muhammad.
