As far as I know, the thing which can pose as conclusion about the distance from Earth to that star is thet the distance is decreasing. I choose this answer because usually the farther star moves from earth there is a possibility of Red shift occuring, it can remind of the Doppler effect. Hope it helps! Regards
The correct answer to the question is : A) The distance is increasing.
EXPLANATION:
Before going to answer this question , first we have to understand red shift and blue shift.
Both blue shift and red shift are known as Doppler's shift which play a crucial role in case of astronomy.
When a celestial body approaches towards any reference body, the light is seen shifted towards the blue end of the electromagnetic spectrum. This is known as blue shift. It is so because the wavelength of light is decreased due to the their relative motion.
On the other hand, red shift occurs when the celestial body is moving away from the reference body. Here, the wavelength increases and light is shifted towards the red end of the electromagnetic spectrum.
Hence, the correct answer is that distance is increasing from earth to the stars.
