Depends, every country has different sizes which affects the ability to destroy it or not (for example, it would be nearly impossible to destroy a country the size of Russia completely because of it's size) and the magnitude of an earthquake plays a major role in the damage it can cause because an earthquake with a low magnitude will not destroy a country but a high magnitude earthquake may possibly destroy a country.
