I know from the answer key that the answers are x=12
and y=8, but I'm not sure how to get there...​

(1)      7/3.5 = 3y/x                    (2)    7/3.5 = (x + 4)/y

            2 = 3y/x                                    2 = (x + 4)/y

         -2x + 4y = 8

                    y = 8                               -x + 2(8) = 4
