Describe a time when you, or someone around you, made a decision based on the authority of someone else?

I would say making a decision because a group leader said so, or because your parent said so. 

For example, your mom says you have to choose between going camping or going to your friend's house. 
Then you choose to go to your friend's house. 

I think that's decision based on another's authority.
