In the second paragraph Kennedy shows his opinion of Martin Luther King. Kennedy saw him as an honorable man who fought for love, equality and justice, who represented his people courageously and admirably and who deserves respect and consideration. For this reason Kennedy believes that the news about Kenndy's death is very sad news and a great loss for the United States.

We can see this through two lines that are:

"Martin Luther King dedicated his life to love and to justice between fellow human beings. He died in the cause of that effort. "

" I have some very sad news for all of you, and, I think, sad news for all of our fellow citizens, and people who love peace all over the world; and that is that Martin Luther King was shot and was killed tonight in Memphis, Tennessee."
