In 2012, the Ramnit worm hacked about 45,000 facebook accounts. This Ramnit was describes as “a multi-component malware family which infects Windows executable as well as HTML files” (quoted from Microsoft Malware Protection Center). It hacked these accounts stealing the login credentials (the user name and the password).
