Given the following linear function sketch the graph of the function and find the domain and range. ƒ() = -3x + 7

Respuesta :

The domain is the set of values you can input for x. You wolud run into problems if you had for example 3/x then x could not be 0 because division by 0 isnt allowed. In your case you have no such problem, so the domain is all real numbers. The range are all possible outputs in this case all Real numbers to.

Answer:

Domain : (-∞,∞)

Range : (-∞,∞)

Step-by-step explanation:

[tex]f(x)=-3x+7[/tex]

To sketch the graph of this given function we need to make a table

Lets assume some random number for x  and find out f(x)

x                f(x)= -3x+7

-1                 -3(-1)+7=10

0                  7

1                   4

now plot the points (-1,10) (0,7) (1,4)

The graph is attached below

Domain is the set of all x values for which the function is defined

and Range is the set of all y values for which the function is defined

HEre there is no restriction for x  and y

So domain and range is set of all real numbers

Domain : (-∞,∞)

Range : (-∞,∞)
