what brought the people from other lands is that when they got news about the new land and no one to occupy it they came down to farm and make money that was with like new York Virginia and other eastern land and then Thomas Jefferson when he was about to exit office as a president he bought 15 million dollars worth of land and it started over again people started coming over to farm and make more money
