The Nazi’s came to power through violence. Brown shirts marched on Berlin, and through pressure Hitler was appointed Chancellor of Germany, and gave himself supreme control. Regulating education, the destruction of books, labeling his political rivals as outcasts, and giving the German people a common enemy. He indoctrinated the youth so he wouldn’t be questioned through propaganda and used militarism to extort threaten and punish any and all who opposed him. He did all of this while providing the German people with jobs and stabilizing the German economy which gave him more support, and gave him the means to construct his war machine.
