Two migrations are force migration and immigration. Force migration is where people are forced to move to a different area. An example of this is slaves from Africa being forced to America. Immigration is migration of a people to a different place in hopes of a better life.

The two major types of migration are:

The historical causes about them are:

  • They are caused by war or political instability
  • They are voluntary

Forced migration is a situation where a group of people are forced to migrate because they feel unsafe in their present location and want to survive. Some of these factors include:

Voluntary migration (Immigration) is the movement of people from one place to another for personal reasons. In this situation, they are not under pressure to change as it is not based on survival.

Some of the reasons include:

  • Economic opportunities
  • Education, etc.
