Traumatic
brain injuries may result in damage to the blood vessels in the spaces
between the meninges these damaged blood vessels leak blood into either
the subdural or subarachnoid spaces a potentially deadly condition
called subdural or subarachnoid hemorrhage.
This condition is so dangerous because it can cause a stroke, and it is fatal in 50 percent of cases. One in 8 people who have this type of event die before they reach the hospital.
