In a well-written paragraph, describe a government-based effort (international or not) to improve resource use and management. Include how
the policy affects a specific country or area of the world. (8 points)
An example of a government-based effort concerning resource use/management and the environment in the United States would be the EPA. The United States developed the Environmental Protection Agency in order to regulate things like resource usage and pollution. The agency was a concentrated effort to enforce laws that would decrease needless consumption of natural resources and decrease their effects on the environment. The EPA has created regulations for corporations and organizations limiting them to a certain amount of emissions or limiting the ways they can dispose of waste. The EPA puts a greater pressure on companies to be environmentally conscious and decreases the amount of US waste emissions.
