The equator is an imaginary line drew on maps that divides the earth into 2 hemispheres: North And south, and represents the degree of latitude 0.
The Prime Meridian is, as the equator, another imaginary line drew on maps, but divides the earth into 2 other hemispheres: East and West, and represents the degree on longitude 0.
