After reading the first couple of pages about the totalitarian leaders of Italy and Germany, what is your historical analysis of the main reason they were able to come to power at the time?
Both nations were dealing with internal instability along with debts from the previous world war. The people were desperate for reforms and that is what both Hitler and Mussolini promised them. They also encouraged nationalism amongst the people.
