osmosis is the process by which molecules of a solvent pass through a semi-permeable membrane from a less concentration to a higher concentration.

Diffusion is the passive movement of molecules from a higher concentration regions to a region of lower concentration.

Active transport is the movement of molecules against a concentration gradient.

Bulk transport is the movement of macromolecules into or out of the cell
