Why does a cell need to copy its DNA before it divides?
A) so both new cell have enough DNA
B) so the sister chromatids don’t have to get separated
C) so it has a different set of instructions
It can't be B because during mitosis, sister chromatids inevitably are separated. It can't be C because they are copied so they have the same instructions and know what to do. A is the best choice.
