Answer: Yes, it is well-known that Freda had a storming relationship with Diego because of his unfaithfulness. Yet, she continued to love him. This helps you interpret that to Painting conveys Frida’s mixed emotions. She is torn between being hurt by Diego and being completely attached to him.
