There was a lot of racial tension in the court room. Besides, there were so many different mindsets regardless of race. Atticus was clearly a man ahead of his time, or at least ahead of that town. There was a mixture of fear, anger, and unease. By using point of view, we can understand how to groups and the individuals see each other and the situation.
