If our orbit around the sun slowed down how would that affect the way we observe constellations?

PLEASE ANSWER:)

Respuesta :

As it takes the sun about 250 million years to orbit the galaxy, the proper motion of stars relative to the Sun will be the dominant effect of changes in the sky. The visible effects of the rotation will be far slower.

All stars move in the sky, some faster some slower, and in more or less random directions, not just moving around the galaxy.

If the orbit around the sun slowed down, there won't be much effect about

how we view the star and it will only take the Earth more time to complete its

orbit around the Sun.

The solar system involve the following:

  • Sun
  • Moon
  • Planets etc

This is because the Stars don't revolve around the galaxy. They move at

random speed and directions as in the sky according to its conditions we

have right now. There will be no effect on how we view the constellations.
