Let the number of hours the ski jet was rented be x, then
For company A, Cost = 2.25x + 24
For company B, Cost = 2.75x + 23

Fro the cost to be the same: 2.25x + 24 = 2.75x + 23
2.75x - 2.25x = 24 - 23
0.5x = 1
x = 1/0.5 = 2
x = 2

The cost are the same after 2 hours.
