Indicate the number of unpaired electrons for each:
[noble gas] ns2np5
[noble gas] ns2(n-1)d2
[noble gas] ns2(n-1)d10np1
[noble gas] ns2(n-2)f6

Respuesta :

To solve this task you should remember one basic rule :  electrons will go into orbitals of equal energy unpaired. According to this rule, we can easily  indicate the number of  unpaired electrons : if we have 3 p orbitals, s2p5 has 1 unpaired e; if we have  5 d orbitals it would be 2 unpaired e. Just go this way, I am pretty sure it's clear.
