Federalism is the political system where states retain their sovereignty, so they have some autonomy in political and administrative decisions. Centralism is the political system where all power and decision-making falls on the central government.
Examples of non-federalism would be: North Korea, Algeria, Uruguay, Haiti, San Marino, among others.
