the length of marshall's rectangular poster is 2 times its width. if the perimeter is 24 what is the area of the poster

let the length be  2x and width is x..then the perimeter will be 2x+x+2x+x=24...6x=24...x=4...so the lenggth is 8 and width is 4...and the area becomes 8.4=32..so the are is 32
