An effective leader has to be honest so that people trust him and follow his guidance. A leader that is known to be a liar would not be trustworthy and people may disobey him. Good communication is essential as it is a way to connect with people, a leader that communicates clearly and directly would be seen as believable, hard working and not egocentric. Dedication to his job is of upper importance as it shows that the leader puts other peoples' needs first and is willing to sacrifice his time, money and effort in order to help them. Confidence is seen as a virtue as it proves that the leader can be responsible and work under pressure, or face unexpected difficulties.
