Martin Luther King was a civil rights leader because he fought for racial equality. Though he received death threats and has been attacked before, he continued to fight, proving his leadership qualities.
He was a leader because of his knowledge of the cause he fought for. He also had great communication skills so people could understand him well. He was also very committed and wanted to prove a point to everyone. That is what made him a very good leader.
