Explanation:
After both parties have made oral arguments to the court, the Justices will then retreat to a meeting. In this meeting they will pass their opinions on the case and discuss it after which they will vote.
The Chief Justice states their opinion and then other Justices follow in order of seniority. When this is done, they will vote and the majority/ winning side will have either the Chief Justice or the most senior Justice (if the Chief Justice is in the minority) assign someone to write the Court's written opinions on the case. The minority side can do the same as well.
