In 1921 Sadie Tanner Mossell Alexander was the first African-American to receive her PhD in economics. The first ever exhibition of the African-American community exhibiting their artistic talents was organised. Harmon Foundation was developed in 1921 to assist African-American artists.Thus in this manner, in the 1920's many African-Americans begin to make a mark in the business world as more and more of them were getting educated.
