A plantation is a large scale estate, Generally centered around a plantation house, meant for farming that specialize in cash crop. The crops that are grown there include cotton, coffee, tea, Cocoa, sugar and others. In the 1800s Africans were used as slaves in plantations, because it was cheap work.
