I'd say the US should have abandoned the Articles of Confederation since the US Constitution suited the country's needs better. The Articles of Confederation were much too weak to control a country, as the US Constitution gave the government the authority to tax. Both the US Constitution and the Articles of Confederation were personal interpretation- some people might have said if something wasn't stated in the document, it wasn't allowed. Others might have said if the document didn't mention it, you could do it since it was "allowed." I hope this information helps you! :)
